escaping DC humidity, me in sneaker version, and reading thriller mysteries again
I’d say that this week has felt so quick with Memorial Day on Monday, but when you’re a stay at home mom, who is building their own business, sometimes every day can feel like a work day.
But enough of that, it’s time to share what’s currently going on!

Blog posts and newsletters! It felt like it took forever (it really didn’t), but I finally have my post up about Summer 2025 Trends! I’m going to use items in this post to put together a Summer 2025 Capsule Wardrobe (like my spring post) and I can’t wait to share it.
Summer travel! Last summer, I played with the idea of spending a month at home in Milwaukee. Since life was so up in the air last year, it felt like just a random dream to escape DC’s humidity. Well, this summer I’m making it a reality! I’m not spending a full month, but almost three weeks there. I’m so excited to escape the heat and spend time with my parents (and E) in one of my favorite places.
Work time vs E time (E = my kid, if you’re confused). Now that work has started to pick up (yay! and you can find out more about working with me here), I’ve been working on balancing my E time and work time during the work day. It’s meant that I’m sometimes doing work on evenings and weekends, but I’m working on making it balance sooner rather than later.
Buying
Not going to lie, I took advantage of the memorial day sales. After my fail with the Old Navy polo, I decided to try out this J.Crew version. We’ll see how it goes!
I saw these and they are 100% me in sneaker form. (There are more in stock on this site.)
I originally stayed away from Cadence capsules because they didn’t seem very practical with my serums and oils. But now that they’ve added different dispenser tops, it seems like the perfect time to try them. Let me know if you want a full review!
When I stopped by the Rothy’s shop in Georgetown to double check my sizing, I thought it would be a super quick in and out. Joke was on me though, because I tried on their clogs and I now fully understand why everyone is obsessed with them. Just a warning though, I had to go down a full size!
I’ve been saving my gift card for months now and it was finally the perfect time to use my Abercrombie gift card. What did I get? A Packers sweatshirt of course! They have the best NFL gear and it was time to stock up for the fall.
After trying out the Pact dress, I was ready to dive a little deeper. I love this tank dress and I hope this dress in navy will work out.
Eyeing
Love this pullover sweatshirt (it has a collar AND it’s striped!)
Um, I actually want something made by Crocs? (Love the target version too!)
These sandals are so cute (I love the ones with lemons)!
Do I like this dress? Will I actually wear it?
You’ll never guess who makes this swimsuit!
