Is there a better time to share shopping reviews that during a bunch of major sales?
Below are reviews from items from Rothys, Pact, and Old Navy. Some of the reviews are behind a paywall (as I previously mentioned), so subscribe now so you can read everything!
Now let’s get into the reviews!
Rothy's The Point Mary Jane II, Black, Size 6.5
Okay, these aren’t on sale at Nordstrom, but the crochet version is on the Rothy’s site! I really like these and I’m always so surprised by how comfortable Rothy’s are. I think that these might be the tiniest bit too big though, so I may exchange them for a smaller size (or the crochet version in a smaller size). But they’re definitely a keep (in some form/size).
Also, I don’t have a picture of me trying them on, BUT I tried on the Rothys Clogs and I fully understand why everyone is obsessed with them. They are SO comfortable and machine washable. The only warning is that I had to go a full size down (to a size 5) for the perfect fit. I was trying them on in stores, so I didn’t have to do multiple rounds of ordering. But the store associate said that since they run large/wide you want to go half a size or a full size down. They’re still on sale today, so try them out while you can!
PACT Organic Cotton Fit & Flare Open Back Maxi Dress, Midnight Blue Palms, Size XS (link is to Nordstrom, here is a link to the PACT site)
I have wanted to try out PACT for the longest time. Their products always look so soft and they’re really well priced. I’m in the process of replacing my old summer (pre-pregnancy) dresses, so this was a brand I wanted to try. When I ordered this dress, I knew that that the back would require a different kind of bra (so ignore the one I’m wearing here). What I didn’t realize is that they actually built a bra into the dress (love when a brand thinks ahead). Now, it’s just a shelf bra, so I would want to have a tailor add cups into this bra for it to work for me. But I loved the fit of this dress and it was as comfortable as I expected.
The only thing I didn’t like about this dress was the pattern. It may work for other people, but I felt a little overwhelmed by it. I think I may go back and get the dress in a solid color.
Verdict: Exchange for a new color
Old Navy Crepe A-Line Midi Skirt, Red Floral, S Petite
I purchased this skirt in the red floral and blue floral and I love both! The length is perfect and I love the bright and colorful prints. The only downside to this skirt is that it is a lower quality material (which is what I would expect for $12). This is a skirt that will last for a summer, but might not make it past two. I really like the skirt though and I’m really into skirts for the summer, so I’m going to wear the heck out of it while it lasts.
Verdict: Keep
(PS The review for the polo is behind the paywall)
Old Navy Linen-Blend Mini Shirt Dress, White and Blue Stripe (Petite S on left, XS Regular on right)
I wasn’t sure if this dress would work best in petite or regular for me, so I thought I would try on both to see the difference. But there wasn’t that much of a difference between the Petite S and the regular XS. This probably would have been different in a small or X small combo, but I wanted to try for the sizes I knew would be best. Ultimately, the main difference in the two was the length (the XS was slightly longer) and the XS was a little smaller on top, which gave the dress a little bit more of a shape. I’m a little on the fence about this dress right now (it’s comfortable and has pockets!), but if I keep on size, it’ll be the XS regular for the long hemline.
Verdict: Undecided
Old Navy High-Waisted A-Line Midi Skirt, White, Size S Petite
