Hello all!

For this week’s paid subscription newsletter, I decided to share my “Pop Culture Diary.” I got the idea from the substack, Landline. Landline is a newsletter by the Mary Mahoney, the author of “Dolls of Our Lives.” In it, she covers pop culture topics, but she’ll also have guest posts where people will share a week-long media diary.

What is a pop culture diary? Well, for a week you essentially keep track of all of the media you consume: movies, music, tv, podcasts, books, etc. I loved the one Carly did and I thought it would be fun to share mine!

I did decide to keep it only covering Monday to Friday though because it got a little long. If you’re lazy or just don’t feel like reading, you can scroll to the bottom for a round up of all of the pop culture I mentioned.

My Pop Culture Diary

Monday

It’s the week after Thanksgiving and after a crazy week, I needed to start things a little bit slower this week. After getting E up from his morning nap, I get him settled in his high chair and put on a little Taylor Swift music for us to listen to. My Spotify wrapped hasn’t come out yet and I’m determined to not let Raffi make a surprise appearance in my topic music of 2024. Luckily, E doesn’t mind listening to Taylor. I’ve made a playlist of her more upbeat songs to listen to.
